How To Participate in these great London Treasure Hunts.

HOW THE TREASURE HUNTS WORK

ALL THE TREASURE HUNTS BEGIN AT UNDERGROUND STATIONS.

The cost of a treasure hunt pack is £98.00 plus VAT for up to four teams. Once we have processed payment you will be sent for packs containing all the treasure hunt clues along with a sheet of observation questions. You do not need any knowledge of London to compete in these treasure hunts. Indeed knowledge of the area can often be a hindrance not an asset!

You will need to print off the sheet of clues and the sheet of observation questions for your chosen treasure hunt.

You can then make your way to the starting point detailed at the top of the clue sheet.

Once there, read the STARTER clue. Think about what it says and figure out what it is directing you to do. From then on the clues will be found all over the streets. They may be numbers on doors; dates on statues or even letters of the alphabet contained in names on doors or plaques. Remember there is no order to the clues you hold. Only the STARTER clue is in its correct order. It is directing you to a place nearby where you will find a letter or a number that corresponds with your next clue. Also, be warned that there are several red herring clues in each treasure hunt. These are there to prevent you knowing when you are nearing the end as you will always have several unsolved clues on the sheet! By following carefully what the clues say, you will find the number or letter that corresponds with the next clue you must find.

You also have a sheet of observation questions. These questions concern things you WILL pass on the Treasure Hunt. Some of them are slightly off the route, though all are visible from the route. The answers may be on blue plaques, on front doors, on statues or on walls. So if you see a statue, a plaque or even a shop that looks interesting, send a team member to look at it and see if it is the answer to a question.

NB..NB..NB

The observation questions are not in order. So you will need to keep a keen eye peeled for when you pass each and every one of them.

Each area covered is quite an interesting area with plenty to look at and absorb. Also, keep in mind that knowledge of the area can be a hindrance rather than an asset.
