WELCOME TO OUR SPITALFIELDS TREASURE HUNT

Spitalfields is a fascinating part of London and to explore it on our exclusive treasure hunt is to truly discover places that you would never dream still existed.

By following our delightfully cryptic clues you will find your way into cobblestone alleys and tucked away courtyards where you must search for all manner of cunningly hidden clues.

Can you, for example, find the thing that you can't do but must do? Confusing as it might sound it is an action you must perform to be able to stay ahead of the game and hopefully be a member of the winning team at the end of the Spitalfields Treasure Hunt.

In addition to the cryptic clues that will get you round the route you will also have a sheet of observation questions that pertain to things you will see and pass as you race around the treasure hunt. These may be on plaques or on statues. They could be hidden away in some of the delightfully sinister alleyways that you will encounter (did we mention that this was Jack the Ripper's territory by the way?!) The point about the observation clues is that they are all there just waiting for you to spot them so a keen eye and enquiring mind are the two essentials of hunting them out and noting them down.

Then there will be the sheet of photo challenges. These are photographs of things that you will pass right by in the course of the quest. No difficulty in identifying those then, you might think. Think again! We have photographed them from odd angles and then tampered with them to either distort them or else make them look completely different. You might have to lie on your back and look up at them. Or climb on to a wall and look down upon them. Or even climb into them!!! Is there no end to the fiendish things you will be asked to do in the course of the quest?

Well actually there is and, providing you solve the clues, use the visual markers to find your way around the route and keep a keen eye peeled for the answers to the observation questions and photo challenges, in around two hours should emerge from the delightful streets of this wonderful neighbourhood having enjoyed a journey that will literally have transported you back in time.
