WHY COME TO US?
Before deciding which Jack the Ripper Walking Tour to take REMEMBER...with other London Walks you will be marched round in a group that may well number more than 200 people all struggling to hear and see one guide! You'll see more, hear more, and get much more of the real atmosphere. That is why with our walk :-
BOOKING IS ESSENTIAL
THE TOUR COSTS JUST £7.00 PER PERSON.
We meet outside the Toynbee Hall Exit.
This is situated at the junction of Whitechapel High Street and Commercial Street.
In the autumn of 1888 a sinister murderer began stalking the night shadows of the streets of London’s East End. At first he was known simply as ’The Whitechapel Murderer.’ But that changed in early October 1888 when the police released a letter that boasted of the killer’s atrocities and motives, hinted at more horrors to come, and bore the chilling signature Jack the Ripper, the name that would turn this mysterious lone murderer into an international legend.
On this dramatic and entertaining Jack the Ripper Walking Tour in London, you will be taken back to that long ago era of gaslight and terror and explore the very streets where the infamous 1888 murders occurred.
No sooner has your tour begun than you find yourself standing in the eerie and little changed, cobbled alleyway where the first reputed Jack the Ripper murder occurred. It's dark, it's foreboding and you will get the genuine feeling that untold horrors a plenty might be waiting around the next corner.
Your guide will ask you to close your eyes and listen as the shrill sound of an original Metropolitan Police whistle shatters the silence just as it did more than a century ago to mark the beginning of your Jack the Ripper’s reign of terror.
And because each of our guides is an acknowledged expert on the case, not an actor who has simply learnt a script by rote, we are able to guarantee that every word of our Jack the Ripper Walking Tour in London tour is true and accurate.
