The first Jack the Ripper Murder, that of Mary Nichols took place in Bucks Row, Whitechapel. Its name was changed to Durward Street in the aftermatch of the killing.

This one of our Jack the Ripper pictures shows Thrawl Street as it looks today, modern council housing occupies the spot where Mary Nichols lived.
However, the last place that Mary was seen alive, The Frying Pan pub still does survive, although it has now become a restaurant called The Sheraz Balti House.
The name of the Frying pub, however, can still be seen in brick relief on the pubs upper gable,.
The second victim of Jack the Ripper was Annie Chapman.
She was last seen alive at 5.30am on 8th September outside 29 Hanbury Street.
This is a rare one of our Jack the Ripper pictures showing the interior of number 29 Hanbury Street taken shortly before it was demolished in the 1960's. Annie Chapman would have led Jack the Ripper through the passage and out into the back yard.
At 6am in the morning a resident of 29 Hanbury Street discovered her horrifically mutilated boy here in the backyard of the house. It was lying between the steps and the fence.

Mary Kelly, the last victim of Jack the Ripper was seen in the early hours of 9th November walking along Commercial Street. This is what Commercial Street was like then. The large pub that can be seen in the left corner of the picture was called the Brittiania and it stood on the corner of Dorset Street.
This shows Dorset Street as it looked in 1888 and shows some of the residents who may well have known Mary Kelly.
This is a photograph of Dorset Street as it appears today. It has changed beyond all recognition since Jack the Ripper headed along it as he fled from the scene of his final murder.
Mary Kelly lived here in Millers Court off Dorset Street.
